Meet the Doctor
Cheryl Sorbero, DDS, PC
Specialist in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics
Cheryl Sorbero was born on Long Island, NY, and grew up in Amsterdam, NY. Dr. Sorbero graduated from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She then received her D.D.S. degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC, in 1999 and completed her orthodontic residency at Howard University College of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Sorbero served as class secretary and was a member of the Alpha Omega Fraternity.
Dr. Sorbero is trained in all aspects of orthodontic treatment, including early treatment, adult treatment, invisible aligner treatment, and orthodontic surgery. Dr. Sorbero holds many memberships, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists, the New York State Dental Association, and the Third District Dental Society.
Following residency, Dr. Sorbero worked as an associate in the Washington, DC, area and Las Vegas, NV, providing orthodontic care in hectic and diverse practices before moving back to the Capital Region to raise her family. Dr. Sorbero has been in private practice in Albany, NY, since 2009. Her office is located behind Stuyvesant Plaza and is easily accessible via I-87.
Dr. Sorbero and her husband Ramsey have been married for 17 years and have a 13-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter, in addition to their furry family members. Dr. Sorbero is also an active member of the community.

Lisa
Practice Manager
Lisa - Joined the practice in 2016. She loves the relationships she gets to create with our patients, their families, and coworkers. She is committed to making sure their experience in our office is a positive one!
When Lisa is not at work she loves spending time with her husband, their three children and her dog, Prince. She enjoys visiting the ocean, camping, crafting, shopping, and reading.
Linnea
Financial Coordinator
Linnea Joined the practice in 2018. She loves getting to know the patients and their families while also being able to assist them with their financial needs. Being a patient of Dr. Sorbero, she can relate to the patient’s treatment progress as well. Linnea also loves her relationships with her coworkers!
Outside of work Linnea enjoys cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Amanda
Dental Assistant
Amanda- Joined our team in 2021. The patient experience is her priority, and she works hard to ensure they feel comfortable in our office. She loves seeing new patients smiles and how happy they are at the end of treatment!
When Amanda isn't working, she enjoys playing with her mini golden doodle.
Maggie
Maggie joined our team in 2022. She was born and raised in Guilderland and was a former patient of Dr. Sobrero. She is full of energy and loves working with patients. When Maggie is not at work she enjoys reading, Spending time with family and friends and walking her dog, Norman.
Priscilla
Dental Assistant
Priscilla has been with the practice since 2021. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and enjoys assisting and translating for our speaking patients.
When she is not at work she enjoys traveling, and spending time with her two children.
